“Great book! The sooner a widower reads it after losing his wife the better.” - Pat Krummel

WIDOWER TO WIDOWER

By Fred Colby, Author

“You can enjoy life again; but, you may have to go through hell to get there... I had to."

A self-help book based on Fred Colby’s first-hand experiences as a widower and co-founder and co-facilitator of Pathways Men’s Grief Group. Fred incorporates extensive research and lessons learned by his fellow widowers. His writings have drawn praise from many widowers (see what they are saying in Testimonies/Reviews) and reviews by Writer’s Digest and others.

Widowers often feel that they are going crazy and may experience extreme loneliness, anxiety, depression, and anger. Fred’s book and blogs are designed to help his fellow widowers to survive this hell-on-earth experience which can lead to self-destructive behaviors such as alcohol and drug abuse, fractured relationships with family and friends, and loss of employment and/or financial security.

While there are many resources available for widows, there are very few quality resources specific to widowers. Fred’s writings are designed to help address this deficiency. He also collaborates with other authors and organizations such as the National Widowers Organization, Widowers Support Network, Pathways Hospice, and NOMIS Publications.

I bought this book after the passing of my wife, Pam, of thirty years. Must buy and read, greatest gift to give to yourself. You need to get this book to help in the healing process and to know you are not "crazy”. - Tim Paris
